Rock and Roll City was written and recorded originally as part of the Distracted EP sessions with me and Yellow Trash Can but in the end we decided the song didn’t fit with the rest of them, so we cut it. Everybody still loved this track so we decided to release it on its own.

Rock and Roll City is about wanting something superficial as a way of avoiding intimacy. For all the beauty and sex and glitz that comes with rock and roll, it can feel really empty if you don’t have real shit around to balance it out. This song is about what happens when things are off balance there.
